For a tense year leading up to the on-again, off-again launch from Apple, I had one persistent question for the makers of Tile, the original Bluetooth finding device:

"What are you going to do when AirTags come out?"

After all, Apple is one of the biggest mobile device makers on the planet. With a user base that large, it didn't take a psychic to predict that AirTags were going to be a big hit. Plus Apple gave them all kinds of iOS integration that third-party manufacturers aren't allowed to touch. 

So, yes, Tile might have been first, but it was clear they'd need to deliver a resounding response to Apple in order to keep their market share. 

They delivered.

This is the first finding technology solution to-market for a broad group of PC OEMs and means upcoming Intel-powered laptop and notebook models can be findable.
